Chris Schulte CPA, CA

Office Managing Partner


Chris started his journey with King and Company back in 2005, proving himself as a loyal and passionate accountant.

He strives to build lasting client relationships, a key component to the growth of our firm. Under his belt, Chris has a Marketing Diploma from NAIT, a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge, and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2008.

In the past, Chris sat on the Board and chaired the Audit and Finance Committee for the Bissell Centre. He also sat on the Audit and Finance Committee for the Windermere Golf and Country Club. Chris is currently on the Board of the Zebra Child and Youth Protection Centre as the Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee. Whatever free time he has left, Chris spends with his family and friends, plays hockey and golf, and still finds time to snowboard and travel.

Shannon Troke CPA, CA



Shannon joined King & Company in 1999 and has extensive experience in not-for-profit organizations and owner-managed businesses.

He attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where he received his Management Diploma, Accounting Diploma and Bachelor of Business Administration. As current treasurer for the Valley Zoo Development Society, Shannon is a busy man, but does find time to play badminton, cycle and spend time with his family.

Daniel Roberts CPA, CA, CPA (Illinois, USA)



Daniel is a highly diligent and reliable partner, starting his time with us in 2017 after working in firms around the country since 2005.

After attending the University of Prince Edward Island and receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration, Daniel Obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2006. From there, he received his CPA designation in 2010, and his USA CPA designation in 2011. When Daniel is not in the office, you can find him camping with his family or playing hockey. He is also the current treasurer at WIN house.

Brenda MacDonald BBA

Senior Accountant


Brenda has been working at our firm as a senior accountant since 1979.

Since graduating from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1979 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Brenda has strived to be a responsible and tolerant accountant for some of our largest clients. You can find her reading, swimming, or spending time with her family in her down time.

Julie Schmidt CPA



Julie is a motivated and detail-oriented addition. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2012 with a Bachelor of science, specializing in mathematics.


After staring her career with us in 2017, she obtained her CPA designation a year later. Julie spends her free time hiking, reading, doing yoga, and spending time with her family and dog.

Thomas Rotundo CPA

Senior Accountant

Thomas is a recent CPA graduate, obtaining his designation in 2022.


A humble and friendly member of our team, he started at our firm right after receiving his Bachelors degree in Accounting from MacEwan University in 2019. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with friends, family, and of course, his pets. He is also an avid viewer of all sports.

Sarah Cumbleton


Joining us at the beginning of 2021, Sarah has become an integral member of our office, joining us with her 8 years of industry experience.


She has completed two degrees, a Bachelor of Arts, and a Bachelor of Management with an emphasis in Accounting. After a hard day’s work, Sarah can be found enjoying the local art and theatre scene or spending time on the family farm.

Matthew Borowka

CPA Student

An inquisitive and pragmatic addition to our team, Matthew is a current CPA student who started with us in April of 2022.


Matthew graduated from NAIT with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is now enrolled in the CPA program. When not studying or working, he can be found gardening and raising exotic houseplants, listening to hip-hop, and spending quality time with his wife and dogs.

Laura is a positive and energetic member of our team who has been with us since March of 2022.


After graduating from MacEwan University in 2021, she is now enrolled in the CPA program. Laura is well versed in using Quickbooks Online. When she is not working, you can find her skating, swimming, or at the gym.

Jagdip Parhar

Jagdip is a dedicated and hardworking accounting technician who has worked at our firm since 2018.


He completed his Accounting Diploma in 2013 at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Jagdip enjoys family time with is two sons and wife, as well as playing soccer and watching all kinds of sports.

Kecia MacKinnon

Accounting Technician

Kecia started at King and Company in September of 2022.


She is an efficient and quick thinking member who has worked around the world of accounting since high school. Kecia attended Lethbridge College for Canadian Studies and has years of experience in Human Resource roles. Her summers are spent volunteering with the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. When not researching the latest tax legislation, Kecia can be found spending time with her senior dog or biking around the city to enjoy a local craft beer.

Allison De Gouveia

Administrative Assistant

Our newest addition, Allison, is the happy and easygoing face you meet as you enter our office.


After studying Culinary Arts in British Columbia, she made her way to Edmonton in 2022. After work, Allison enjoys hiking, traveling, skiing, volleyball, shopping, and of course, cooking.
